The Pool Committee supports the Board of Directors by assisting with pool operations planning, policy review, and seasonal preparation for the Association’s pool facilities. The committee helps evaluate pool-related needs and provides recommendations to support safe, well-maintained, and enjoyable shared amenities.
The Pool Committee does not manage day-to-day pool operations, direct vendors, or enforce rules. All pool-related decisions, policies, and approvals are made by the Board of Directors in properly noticed meetings.
COMMITTEE FOCUS
The Pool Committee focuses on reviewing and supporting pool-related planning and policy considerations for the Association’s shared pool facilities, including:
- Seasonal pool preparation and closing considerations
- Review of pool policies, rules, and safety-related guidelines
- Evaluation of pool maintenance needs and equipment considerations
- Providing recommendations to the Board of Directors related to pool operations and improvements
WHAT THE POOL COMMITTEE DOES NOT DO
The Pool Committee does not manage day-to-day pool operations or oversee on-site activity. The committee does not:
- Enforce pool rules or monitor pool use
- Control pool access or issue keys/fobs
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, or rule violations
- Direct or supervise pool vendors or staff
Pool-related incidents, safety concerns, or urgent issues should be directed to the Association’s management company or handled according to posted pool rules and emergency procedures.
HOW THE POOL COMMITTEE PROCESS WORKS
The Pool Committee works collaboratively with the Board of Directors and the Association’s management company to review pool operations, policies, and planning considerations for the community’s shared amenities.
- Reviews pool-related conditions, policies, and operational considerations
- Discusses seasonal planning and long-term pool needs
- Provides recommendations and input to the Board of Directors
- Supports consistency, safety awareness, and long-term stewardship of pool facilities
Pool Committee discussions are advisory in nature. Recommendations are reviewed by the Board of Directors, and final decisions are made by the Board in properly noticed meetings.
